Bayram Khwaja (English spelling)

...In historical records, he is known as Barānī. His founder, Bayram Khwāja, gained independence from the Mongolian Jarayrid dynasty in the 14th century and consolidated his power mainly in eastern Anatolia and the Mosul region. In the early 15th century, the third king, Qara Yusuf, had his country temporarily occupied by Timur, who had invaded Western Asia, but after Timur's return to Central Asia, he regained his power and his territory extended to Iraq and Iran, threatening the Timurid dynasty.
