Adam and Eve

Japanese: アダムとイブ(英語表記)Adām and Hawwā; Adam and Eve
Adam and Eve
Adam and his wife Eve, the ancestors of mankind, are described in the Old Testament book of Genesis. Adam means "man" in Hebrew, and as a common noun it usually means "human being" or "mankind." In Genesis, Adam is said to have been created in God's image (1:26, 27). In other places, he is said to have been made from the dust of the earth and to have been given life by breathing the breath of life into him (2:7). Eve was created from Adam's rib as a good helper, and Adam named her Eve (Eve) as the mother of all living things (3:20). The story of their fall into sin is then told, and they are expelled from the Garden of Eden and are destined to suffer pain for the rest of their lives because of their original sin. They have children, including Cain, Abel, and Seth (4:1-2, 4:25).
