Attaleia

…The former name of Adalya was Attaleia, founded in the 2nd century BCE by Attalus II of Pergamon. It flourished as a port city from the Byzantine period onwards, occupied by the Seljuk Turks of Rum in 1207, and reached its peak in the 13th century.
