Asiatic wild ass

...Distributed in the arid regions of northeastern Iran, northwestern Afghanistan, and Turkestan. It was once considered an independent species, but in recent years many consider it to be a subspecies of the Asian wild ass ( E. hemionus ). It stands about 1.1m at the shoulder and weighs 200-250kg.
