There are about 250 species in the Chrysanthemum genus, many of which are used by humans. Some, such as the white daisy (Chinese daisy), are used as insecticides, while others, such as the artemisia daisy, are used as tonics, digestive aids, and antipyretics. Garland daisies, which are used for food, are also in this genus.
