...It can be easily distinguished from the woodlouse by its somewhat elongated body, the fact that the abdomen narrows abruptly compared to the width of the last thoracic segment, and the fact that the dorsal surface of the body is covered with tiny granules. The woodlouse Alloniscus perconvexus is about 9 mm long and has three segments in the second antennal whip. It lives among seaweed and trash washed up on the beaches along the Honshu coast.
