Albert, P.

...American popular newspaper. In 1882, Albert P. (1851-1909), the younger brother of J. Pulitzer, launched the one-cent paper, The Morning Journal, in New York. By 1887, it had reached 200,000 copies, but failed after raising the price to two cents. In 1895, W.R. Hearst bought it for $180,000 and renamed it The New York Journal.
