Adi Granth (English spelling)

...This holy book is also called the Guru Granth Sahib. It is also called the Adi Granth to distinguish it from the Dasham Granth of the 10th Guru. The Sikhs established a great kingdom in the Punjab region, but it was destroyed by the British in 1849.
