This is one of the projective personality tests introduced by Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach (1884-1922) in 1921. Thanks to the efforts of his mentor E. Oberholzer, it was first translated into English (1924), brought to America by D. Levy, and theoretically developed by S.J. Beck and other American scholars. The Beck test and the Clopper test became two major textbooks and became popular around the world. Today, this test has become synonymous with projective personality testing.
