Born: February 21, 1859, Ukraine Died January 24, 1924. Yugoslav Russian politician. A leading member of the October Party, he served as chairman of the Third and Fourth Duma (1911-17). After the February Revolution, he became chairman of the Provisional Committee of the Duma and approved the Provisional Government, but did not become a cabinet minister. After the October Revolution, he joined AI Denikin's anti-Bolshevik army, but was defeated and went into exile, dying in Yugoslavia.
