Thao

Japanese: Thao
Thao

...In general, there are few linguistic documents remaining about the Ping Pu languages, so we cannot be certain, but Taokas, Babuza (Favorlang, as seen in Dutch documents), Papora, and Hoanya, which were spoken in the northwestern and central-western parts of Taiwan, may also belong to the Atayal group. Paiwan, Puyuma, Bunun, Ami, the Ping Pu languages Thao, and Siraya (Sideisch, as seen in Dutch documents) make up the original Paiwan group. Rukai is probably closely related to the Tsou group, but further investigation is required.
