Imjin River - Imjin River

This river originates at the foot of Mt. Duryu in the Masikryeong Mountains in central Korea, merges with the Han River, and empties into Ganghwa Bay in the Yellow Sea. Its total length is 254 km, and its drainage area is 8,118 km2. It flows south-southwest in the upper reaches, forming a steep canyon, and near Icheon it merges with the Gomishuncheon (114 km) and turns southeast. To the west of Anxia, ​​it merges with the Pyeongancheon (81 km) and turns south-southeast, and near Majeon-ri it merges with the Handamjucheon (130 km), turns southwest, and merges with the mouth of the Han River and empties into Ganghwa Bay. The annual precipitation in this basin is around 1,200 mm, but more than 50% of the total flow is concentrated in the summer. The navigable distance is 125 km from the mouth.

朝鮮中部の馬息嶺山脈の頭流山麓(とうりゅうさんろく)から発し、漢江に合流して黄海の江華湾に注ぐ川。全長254キロメートル、流域面積8118平方キロメートル。上流は南南西方向に流れながら急斜面の峡谷を形成し、伊川(いせん)付近で古味呑(こみしゅん)川（114キロメートル）を入れ、流路を南東にとる。安峡西方で平安川（81キロメートル）を入れ南南東に方向を変え、麻田里(までんり)付近で漢潭住(かんたんじゅう)川（130キロメートル）を合流し、方向を南西にとり、漢江河口に合流し江華湾に注いでいる。本流域の年降水量は1200ミリメートル内外であるが、全流量の50％以上が夏季に集中している。可航距離は河口より125キロメートル。
