A town in Abu District in northern Yamaguchi Prefecture. Most of the area is hilly and mountainous, and the San'in Main Line runs through the Japan Coast. Nago is the center of the town. The town produces rice, fruit, vegetables, and tobacco, and also practices fishing using gill nets and line fishing. It is a producer of hornless Wagyu beef. It has abundant deposits of rosewood. 山口県北部，阿武郡の町。大部分丘陵性山地で，日本海岸に山陰本線が通じる。中心は奈古(なご)。米，果樹，野菜，タバコを産し，刺網，一本釣りなどの漁業も行う。無角和牛の産地。ロウ石の埋蔵量が豊富。海岸は北長門海岸国定公園に属する。115.95km2。3743人（2010）。
