Hadjighiol

Japanese: Hadjighiol
Hadjighiol

...The curved patterns on painted pottery from the Neolithic period at Cucuteni in the northeast already show links to the cultures of Crete and the Aegean, and the Greek colonies of Istros and Tomis (now Constanta), founded on the Black Sea coast in the 7th and 6th centuries BC, flourished during the Roman and Byzantine periods and were centers of classical antiquity. On the other hand, gold and silver armor from the 5th and 4th centuries BC excavated at Coțofenești-Prahova and Hadjighiol (both in the Bucharest History Museum), thought to be the work of the Dacians or Getae, show a primitive strength despite being influenced by Mediterranean culture.
[From around the time of Christ to the 14th century]
In the early 2nd century, the area was conquered by Emperor Trajan and became a Roman province called Dacia, with many cities founded throughout the area.
