Richard
(Richard)[I] (I) King of England from the House of Plantagenet (reigned 1189-99 ). Lionheart. He fought in the Third Crusade. After returning home, he was killed in battle against Philip II's army in France. He was brave, generous, and considered a typical medieval knight. ( 1157-99 )[II] (II) King of England from the House of Plantagenet (reigned 1377-99 ). Son of Edward the Black Prince. He strengthened Parliament and suppressed the power of the nobles, but later became despotic, and was captured by Henry of the House of Lancaster who had united the dissidents, and Parliament also decided to abolish the throne. Henry IV took the throne in his place and founded the House of Lancaster. It is said that Richard was assassinated. ( 1367-1400 )[III] (III) The last King of England from the House of York (reigned 1483-85 ). Youngest brother of Edward IV. After the death of his elder brother, he imprisoned his son, Edward V, and his brother in the Tower of London before ascending to the throne, which led to him losing the support of the people, and in 1485 he was defeated by the attack of the future King Henry VII.
