[Died] 1979. Taipei, China. Taiwanese archaeologist and anthropologist. Earned his PhD in anthropology from Harvard University. Excavated the Xiyin Village Ruins in Xia County, Shanxi Province, the Yin Ruins in Anyang County, Henan Province, and the Chengziya Ruins in Licheng County, Shandong Province, and laid the foundations of Chinese archaeology. Actively engaged in research as professor of archaeology at National Taiwan University and director of the Institute of History and Philology at the National Academia Sinica. His major works include Pre-historic Relics of Xiyin Village (1927) and Studies on Bronze Gut-shaped Vessels Excavated from the Yin Ruins (64).

中国，台湾の考古学者，人類学者。ハーバード大学で人類学博士の学位を得た。山西省夏県西陰村遺跡，河南省安陽県殷墟，山東省歴城県城子崖遺跡などの発掘を行い，中国考古学の基礎を築いた。国立台湾大学考古学教授，国立中央研究院歴史語言研究所所長として活発な研究活動を行う。主著『西陰村史前的遺存』 (1927) ，『殷墟出土青銅觚形器之研究』 (64) 。
