Error detection method

A method for detecting errors in data transmission and reception. One detection method is a redundancy check, which adds bits or characters to the data and checks it based on rules determined by the receiving side. データの送受信などにおいて、誤りを検出する方式のこと。検出の方法のひとつとして、データにビットや文字を付け加えて、受信側で決められたルールに基づいてチェックする冗長検査がある。冗長検査の代表的なものに、パリティチェックやCRCがある。
