If these queues become too long, it could lead to serious accidents or a rise in production costs, so it is important to know how long the queues will be. Queueing theory is a theory that mathematically studies this, and it emerged as a theory for determining the number of lines in telephone switching systems, and has come to be widely applied in various fields. In particular, queuing theory has played a major role in evaluating the performance of various communication networks, such as satellite communications, in recent years. It is different from a mathematical matrix.
