Japanese: ラッカセイ油(落花生油) - らっかせいゆ（英語表記）peanut oil

An oil obtained by pressing peanut seeds (beans) under cooling. It has a pale yellow to pale greenish yellow color with a faint, characteristic aroma. Specific gravity d ¹⁵ = 0.915-0.921, freezing point 0-3°C, saponification value 188-197, iodine value 82-109. It contains 0.2-9.1% unsaponifiable matter. The main component is the glyceride of oleic acid (42.3-61.1%), and the other glycerides are a mixture of palmitic acid, stearic acid, linoleic acid, hypogeic acid C ₁₆ H ₃₀ O ₂ , and arachidic acid C ₂₀ H ₄₀ O ₂ .

ラッカセイの種子(豆)を冷却下で圧搾して得た油。淡黄色ないし淡緑黄色のかすかな特有の香りをもつ。比重d¹⁵＝0.915～0.921，凝固点0～3℃，ケン化価188～197，ヨウ素価82～109。不ケン化物を0.2～9.1％含有する。主成分はオレイン酸のグリセリド(42.3～61.1％)で，ほかにパルミチン酸，ステアリン酸，リノール酸，ヒポゲイン酸C₁₆H₃₀O₂，アラキン酸C₂₀H₄₀O₂などのグリセリドの混合物。
