Chang Yu-chun (also known as Ch`ang Yü-ch`un)
[Birth] Shijun 1 (1330)
[Died] Hongwu 2 (1369). July. Liuhe River, a meritorious official who founded the Ming Dynasty in China. A native of Huaiyuan (Huiyuan County, Anhui Province). His courtesy name was Boren. He was a famous and courageous general. In the 15th year of the Zhizheng era (1355), he became a subordinate of Emperor Taizu (→Emperor Hongwu), and fought in various places, making a great contribution to defeating warlords such as Chen Youliang and Zhang Shicheng. In the 1st year of the Hongwu era (68), he marched north with Xu Da, entered the Yuan capital, defeated Koko Temur (Koko Temur) in Taiyuan, killed Es (Yasuo) in Quanning, and finally captured Kaiping, forcing Emperor Shun of the Yuan Dynasty to flee north, but died suddenly in Liuhe River on the way back.

中国,明朝開国の功臣。懐遠 (安徽省懐遠県) の人。字は伯仁。勇猛果敢な名将として活躍。至正 15 (1355) 年太祖 (→洪武帝 ) の部下となり,各地に転戦,陳友諒,張士誠らの群雄をくだすのに大功を立てた。洪武1 (68) 年徐達とともに北征し,元都に入り,さらに太原にココ・テムル (拡廓帖木児)を破り,全寧にエス (也速) を討ち,ついに開平を攻め落し,元の順帝を北走させたが,帰途柳河川で急死した。
