A general term for annelids belonging to the Myzostomida class. Adults live parasitically or symbiotically on the bodies of echinoderm crinoids, but larvae are benthic. They are similar to polychaete members of the Spionidae family and have a free-floating lifestyle. About 30 species are known from Japan, including the horned worm and the Iijimasu worm. The body is disc-shaped, bilaterally symmetrical, and up to about 10 mm in diameter. Some species have long tentacles on the periphery. The mouth is open at the front end of the ventral surface of the body, and the cloaca is open at the rear end.

吸口虫綱Myzostomideaに属する環形動物の総称。成体は棘皮（きよくひ）動物のウミユリ類の体に寄生，または共生生活をしているが，幼生は底生性。多毛類のスピオ科のものによく似ていて浮遊生活をする。日本からはツノスイクチムシ，イイジマスイクチムシなど30種ほどが知られている。体は円盤状で左右相称，直径は10mmくらいまで。周縁に長い触糸をもつものもある。体の腹面の前端には口，後端には総排出腔が開いている。
