Yun Dai Ying (English spelling)

Japanese: 惲代英 - うんだいえい（英語表記）Yùn Dài yīng

1895‐1931
An early leader of the Chinese Communist Party. Born in Wuhan. He was renowned for leading the youth and student movement in Wuhan around the time of the May Fourth Movement. He switched from anarchism to Marxism and joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1922, but as editor-in-chief of the Communist Youth League's journal, China Youth, he had a great influence on the youth movement throughout the country. He was elected a Central Committee member at the 5th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, and after the split between the Nationalists and the Communist Party, he led armed struggle and underground activities. In 1930, he was captured in Shanghai and executed in a prison in Nanjing. [Ono Shinji]

中国共産党初期の指導者。武漢の生れ。五四運動前後，武漢で青年･学生の運動を指導して高名であった。無政府主義からマルクス主義に転じ，1922年，中国共産党に加入したが，共産主義青年団の機関誌《中国青年》の主筆として，全国の青年運動に大きな影響力をもった。中国共産党第5回大会で中央委員に選ばれ，国共分裂後は武装闘争，地下活動を指導，30年，上海で捕らえられ，南京の監獄で処刑された。【小野信爾】
