Line [Islands] - Line
A group of islands stretching from north to south in the central Pacific Ocean south of Hawaii. Three islands, including Palmyra and Jarvis, are US territories, while eight islands, including Christmas (Kiritimati), Fanning (Tabuaeran), and Washington (Teraina), belong to Kiribati. Only the above three islands in Kiribati are inhabited. There are coconut plantations. Approximately 478 km2 . 9,236 people (2010).
