In addition to uranium ores that contain these uranium minerals, there are also uranium ores in which uranium is present in a form adsorbed to clay minerals, zeolites, organic matter, etc. Most of the radioactivity in ores comes from various radioactive isotopes produced by the radioactive decay of uranium, so the strength of the radioactivity does not always correspond to the grade of the ore.
