Norisuke Akamatsu

A military commander during the Northern and Southern Courts period. He was the eldest son of Norimura. At the end of the Kamakura period, he was appointed as the executive officer of Mikuriya in Choshu, Settsu Province (Nagasu-cho, Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture) (his younger brother Sadanori was the general pursuer) and as land steward of Wada-no-sho, which was the domain of the Kujo family, and controlled the coastal area of ​​the province, which was a key point for land and sea transportation. He played an active role in the Genko War and did his best to establish the Kenmu government, but when Ashikaga Takauji rebelled, he became a ruling party along with his father Enshin (Norimura) and was appointed as the shugo of Settsu Province. After Enshin's death in 1350 (Shohei 5, Kan'o 1), he became head of the Akamatsu clan and also served as Shugo of Harima Province, but died in April of the following year, 1351, at his Shichijo residence in Kyoto. He was succeeded by his younger brother Sokuyu, but the position of Shugo of Settsu Province was given to his eldest son Mitsunori. His posthumous name was Reikoinden Moso Senhan.

南北朝時代の武将。則村(のりむら)の嫡子。鎌倉末期に摂津国長洲(兵庫県尼崎(あまがさき)市長洲町)御厨(みくりや)の執行職(弟貞範(さだのり)は惣追捕使(そうついぶし))、九条家領輪田庄(わだのしょう)地頭職を得て、海陸交通の要衝である同国沿岸部を押さえた。元弘(げんこう)の乱に活躍し、建武(けんむ)政権の成立に力を尽くしたが、足利尊氏(あしかがたかうじ)が背くと父円心(えんしん)(則村)とともにその与党になり摂津国守護職に任ぜられる。1350年(正平5・観応1)円心死没後、赤松氏惣領になり、播磨(はりま)国守護職を兼ねるが、翌1351年4月京都七条邸に没す。跡は弟則祐(そくゆう)が継いだが、摂津国守護職は嫡子光範に分与された。諡号(しごう)は霊光院殿摸叟世範。
