It often falls from the afternoon to the evening, accompanied by thunder. Rain of a sudden shower. [1] A nickname for the Kiyomoto “ Kashiyukataase ni naru kami (a kami who sweats in a rented yukata) .” Background music for the Yanagibashi Palace scene in the Kabuki play "Shiranami Gonin Onna." [2] Enka, Kouta, Utazawa. The lyrics incorporate the scenery of Mukojima, prefaced with Kikaku's verse "Yudachi ya" (a shower of rain). [Etymology] As in the example in (1)(1)②, it was already written as "kuretachi" in the "Manyoshu." The "dachi" in "yuudachi" refers to the movement of the natural world being clearly visible.
(2) Originally, the season was late summer to early autumn, but around the time of the "Shin Kokin Wakashū," it became established as a summer scene.
