[Etymology] As in the example in (1)(1)②, it was already written as "kuretachi" in the "Manyoshu." The "dachi" in "yuudachi" refers to the movement of the natural world being clearly visible.
(2) Originally, the season was late summer to early autumn, but around the time of the "Shin Kokin Wakashū," it became established as a summer scene.
