Japanese: 養蚕機械 - ようさんきかい

A general term for machinery used in sericulture. It is broadly divided into those for mulberry field work and those for sericulture. Tractors are widely used for mulberry fields, but most of them are walk-behind two-wheeled tractors (tending machines or cultivators) equipped with accessories such as rotary tillers, power sprayers, and fertilizer applicators, and are used for fertilizing, weeding, and pest control. There is a strong demand for labor-saving harvesting work, so for normal mulberry fields, half-ridge or straddling-ridge walk-behind row mulberry harvesters have been developed, and for densely planted mulberry fields, binder types that are improved versions of those used for rice have been developed.

養蚕作業に用いる機械の総称。桑園作業用と育蚕用に大別される。桑園用としてはトラクターが普及しているが，そのほとんどが歩行型二輪トラクター(管理機または耕耘（こううん）機)で，ロータリー，動力噴霧機，施肥機などの付属機を装着し，施肥･除草･防除などの作業が行われている。収穫作業の省力化の要請が強いが，普通桑園用では半畦刈あるいは跨畦式の歩行型条桑刈取機，密植桑園用では水稲用を改良したバインダー型が開発されている。
