Yuasa [town] - Yuasa
A town in the Arida district in western Wakayama Prefecture. The main settlement at the back of Yuasa Bay prospered as a port town from the Edo period until the opening of the Kisei Main Line. The soy sauce brewing industry once flourished under the protection of the feudal domain. Mandarin oranges and Sanpokan oranges are its specialties. 20.79 km2 . 13,210 people (2010).
