Yamatototohimomosohime no Mikoto

Japanese: 倭迹迹日百襲姫命 - やまとととひももそひめのみこと
Yamatototohimomosohime no Mikoto
A daughter of Emperor Korei who appears in the Kojiki and Nihonshoki.
Her mother was Yamato no Kuni Kahime. According to the "Nihon Shoki," in the 7th year of the reign of Emperor Sujin, she conveyed messages from Omononushi no Kami of Mount Miwa, and in the 10th year, predicted a rebellion by Takehaniyasuhiko no Mikoto. She later married Omononushi no Kami, but was shocked to find out that he was actually a small snake, which angered her husband. When she sat down in regret, she stabbed herself in the genitals with chopsticks and died. Her grave is called Hashihaka. Another name for her is Yamatototohime no Mikoto. In the "Kojiki," she is called Yamatototomosohime no Mikoto.

母は倭国香媛(やまとのくにかひめ)。「日本書紀」によれば,崇神(すじん)天皇7年三輪(みわ)山の大物主(おおものぬしの)神のおつげをつたえ,10年武埴安彦(たけはにやすひこの)命の謀反(むほん)を予言。のち結婚した大物主神の正体が小蛇と知っておどろき,夫の怒りをかう。後悔してすわりこんだとき,箸(はし)で陰部をついて死んだ。墓を箸墓という。別名に倭迹迹姫命。「古事記」では夜麻登登母母曾毘売命。
