King of Spain. Reigned 1808, 14-33. Son of Carlos IV, who was forced to cede the throne to Prince Ferdinand in March 1808 due to the Aranjuez Rebellion. However, when Napoleon, who had begun to invade Spain, called Ferdinand VII to Bayonne, he was forced to return the throne to his father, Carlos IV. Carlos IV was forced to cede the Spanish throne to Napoleon, and Napoleon's brother Joseph became King of Spain, José I. After the defeat of Napoleon's army from the Iberian Peninsula in March 1814, Ferdinand VII returned from exile, abolished the liberal constitution established in 1812, and began to rule as an absolutist monarch.

スペイン王。在位1808,14‐33年。カルロス4世の子で，1808年3月アランフエスの暴動によってカルロス4世は王子フェルナンドへ王位を譲渡させられた。しかし，スペインを侵略し始めていたナポレオンにバイヨンヌへ呼ばれたフェルナンド7世は父カルロス4世に王位を返還させられた。カルロス4世はナポレオンにスペイン王位を譲渡させられ，ナポレオンの兄ジョセフがスペイン王，ホセ1世として即位した。14年3月ナポレオン軍がイベリア半島から敗退すると，幽閉地から帰国したフェルナンド7世は1812年に制定された自由主義憲法を廃止し，絶対主義君主として統治を始めた。
