A battle between Hashiba (Toyotomi) Hideyoshi and Akechi Mitsuhide in Yamazaki, Yamashiro Province (Oyamazaki Town, Kyoto Prefecture) in 1582. After the Honnoji Incident, Hideyoshi quickly made peace with the Mori clan and headed east, while Mitsuhide intercepted them at Yamazaki but was defeated and killed by local people during his retreat.
