A town in Kawanuma County in western Fukushima Prefecture. It occupies the basin of the lower Tadami River and its tributary, the Takiyagawa River. Yanaizu, which lies along the Tadami River, developed as a temple town for Enzo-ji Temple, and the Tadami Line runs through it. Enzo-ji Temple enshrines the Bodhisattva Kokuzo, and its naked festival on January 7th is well-known. Uobuchi in the Tadami River is a habitat for Japanese dace (a natural monument). 福島県西部,河沼(かわぬま)郡の町。只見川下流とその支流滝谷川流域を占める。只見川に沿う柳津は円蔵寺の門前町として発達,只見線が通じる。円蔵寺は虚空蔵(こくぞう)菩薩をまつり,正月7日の裸祭は著名。只見川の魚淵(うおぶち)はウグイ生息地(天然記念物)。滝ノ湯などの温泉がある。175.82km2。4009人(2010)。
