The remains of a reburial tomb from the middle Yayoi period are located in Iwana Tenjinmae, Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture. It is located about 1.6 km south of Lake Inban, on a hill at an altitude of 30 m. Excavations conducted in 1963-64 uncovered seven small pits in a limited area of 6 m x 8 m. The plan of each pit was an irregular circle with a diameter of 70 to 150 cm, and they were originally about 50 cm deep. A total of 20 pieces of pottery, mainly 1 to 8 jars, were buried in the pits. 千葉県佐倉市岩名字天神前にある弥生時代中期の再葬墓の遺跡。印旛沼の南約1.6kmにあり,標高30mの丘陵上に位置する。1963‐64年に行われた発掘調査によって,6m×8mという限られた範囲から7基の小竪穴が見つかった。各竪穴の平面は,径70~150cmの不整円形をしており,深さはもと50cm内外あったらしい。竪穴中には1~8個の壺を主体とした土器が計20個埋納されていた。ほかに副葬品とみられるものはない。
