Japanese: 安田[町] - やすだ

A former town in Kitakanbara County, central Niigata Prefecture. It occupies the eastern Echigo Plain, on the right bank of the Agano River, and its central town of Yasuda is a strategic location on the Aizu Kaido (National Route 49). Dairy farming is thriving, and the town is known for its Anchi ware and other products. In April 2004, it merged with the villages of Kyogase, Mizuhara, and Sasagami in Kitakanbara County to form Agano City. ^{Area: 40.91 km2} . Population: 10,484 (2003).

A town in Aki District, eastern Kochi Prefecture. It occupies the lower reaches of the Yasuda River and faces Tosa Bay to the south. The main settlement is on the right bank of the river mouth, and sake and soy sauce are produced in the town. Forced vegetable cultivation is carried out mainly in Tonohama in the west. Koumineji Temple, the 27th temple of the Shikoku 88 Temples, is located here. Area: 52.36 ^km2 . Population: 2,970 (2010).
