An insect of the Lepidoptera family, Pyralidae. Also known as the Spotted Peach Moth. Wings span 2-2.5cm. The body and wings are orange-yellow with black spots scattered on them, and the outer transverse line is bent like a sawtooth. The larvae are polyphagous and are known as major pests that feed on various fruits, infesting chestnuts, peaches, apples, pears, and mandarin oranges. They appear two to three times a year and overwinter as larvae. Although it varies depending on the region, the first larvae generally appear around June and mature in July.
