Rice huller (rice huller) - Rice huller

Japanese: もみすり機(籾摺機) - もみすりき
Rice huller (rice huller) - Rice huller
A machine that removes the husk from the rice to obtain brown rice. There are two types. The impact type hits the rice against a rubber husking plate from an acceleration plate that rotates at 2000-3000 rpm, while the roll type runs the rice between two rubber rolls with different rotational speeds and removes the husk using the sliding action of the rolls; the rotation speed is about 1000 rpm. The latter type, fully automatic rice husking machines that incorporate a rice feeder, a winnowing machine to remove the husk, and a winnowing machine to separate the rice from the brown rice, are widely used in Japan.
