Volume integral

Given a domain A in xyz space and a function f ( x , y , z ) defined on A , the integral of function f over domain A with respect to volume element dV = dxdydz in space is called a volume integral, and is written as . A volume integral is essentially a normal integral in a spatial domain, but it is a term used in correspondence with the terms line integral and surface integral. In physical terms, the mass of an object A with density distribution f ( x , y , z ) is given by, and the x coordinate of the center of gravity of that object is given by (the same is true for the y and z coordinates of the center of gravity).

xyz空間における領域Aと，Aで定義された関数f(x,y,z)があるとき，空間における体積要素dV＝dxdydzに関する関数fの領域Aにおける積分を体積分と呼び，と書く。体積分とは要するに空間領域における通常の積分であるが，線積分や面積分ということばに対応して使われることばである。物理的には，密度分布f(x,y,z)をもつ物体Aの質量がであり，その物体の重心のx座標は，で与えられる(重心のy座標，z座標についても同様である)。
