Wǎng chuān tú juàn (The Scroll of the River Wang)

Japanese: 輞川図巻 - もうせんずかん（英語表記）Wǎng chuān tú juàn

A scroll depicting the villa of Wang Wei during the Tang dynasty in China, called Yuchuan Villa. Wang Wei, a poet of the high Tang dynasty, ran Yuchuan Villa in Lantian (Shaanxi) and painted murals of the Yuchuan scenery himself. After the Five Dynasties, scroll-style Yuchuan paintings based on Wang Wei's poems and depicting 20 scenic views were produced in large numbers. Among these, the Yuchuan Scroll by Guo Zhongshu from the early Northern Song dynasty became popular after the Yuan dynasty, and copies were made by Zhao Mengfu, Tang Di, Wang Meng, Guo Shiyuan (stone carving), Wang Yuanqi, and others, exerting a great influence on painting techniques such as the expression of momentum.

中国，唐代の王維の別荘輞川荘を描いた図巻。盛唐の詩人王維は，藍田(陝西)に輞川荘を営み，画家としてみずから壁画輞川図を描いたが，五代以後になると，王維の詩を基に，その勝景20を描いた横巻形式の輞川図が盛んに制作された。なかでも北宋初期の郭忠恕の輞川図巻は，元以後流行し，趙孟頫（ちようもうふ），唐棣，王蒙，郭世元(石刻)，王原祁（おうげんき）などによって模本が作られ，気勢表現など画法の面で大きな影響を与えた。
