Same as felt. "氈" means a carpet, and originally, moss referred to a carpet made of hair in general, but today it refers to a non-woven cloth made by applying moisture, heat, pressure, friction, etc. to animal hair to shrink it. It is thought to have been used from very ancient times by northern peoples and nomadic peoples, and horseback covers, ornaments, and carpets with beautiful patterns have been found in the tombs of Pazyryk in southern Siberia from the 5th to 4th century BC, and various items with embroidery on felt fabric have been found in the Western Han tombs of Noin-Ula in Mongolia.
