Karlmann (East Frankish) (English spelling) Karlmann

…reigned 887-899. Son of Karlmann (c. 830-880), king of Bavaria in East Francia. In 880, he was unable to take the throne because he was illegitimate, and only managed to secure Carinthia. In 887, he dethroned his uncle Charles III and became king of East Francia.
