〘Noun〙 (A transliteration of araṇya. Also written as Arenyaku, Renjaku, Rankjaku, etc., and translated as a place of tranquility or a place of solitude.) 1. Buddhist term. A quiet place away from human settlements, suitable for the practice of Bhikkhu's Buddhist training (a transliteration of krośa. A unit of distance within the range where shouting can be heard).
