German copperplate engraver. He learned printmaking from his father, a copperplate engraver of the same name, and from the "ES engraver." He was a prolific artist and is thought to have left over 570 works, including many copies of M. Schongauer and early A. Dürer. He left behind unique genre paintings such as "Karuta Players" and "Rondo."

ドイツの銅版画家。同名の銅版画家である父親と「ESの版画家」に版画を学んだ。多作家で 570点以上の作品を残したと思われるが，M.ションガウアー，初期の A.デューラーの模作も多い。『かるた遊びをする人』や『輪舞』など，特異な風俗画を残した。
