A famous runner who participated in the Olympics. Born in Miyazaki Prefecture. At the 1936 Berlin Olympics, he placed 4th in both the 5,000m and 10,000m races, but in the 10,000m he competed for the lead until the end against Finnish powerhouses Salminen, Askola, and Isolov. At the time, Murasha was small even for a Japanese, standing 160cm tall and weighing 50kg, but he took the lead from the start, among the giant foreign runners. He held the lead until the 6,000m mark, but after that, it was a fierce battle of overtaking and overtaking. This little unknown Japanese runner's bravery earned him the nickname "Japanese Human Locomotive." He finished just 10 seconds behind the winner Salminen. He later participated in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics as a marathon coach. In 1971, he was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon.
