Oil-free bearing - oilless bearing

Oil-free bearing - oilless bearing
Also called oilless bearings. They belong to the category of sliding bearings, and can be broadly divided into two types: oil-impregnated bearings and dry friction bearings. Oil-impregnated bearings are either porous bearings impregnated with oil or bearings with oil particles dispersed in them. They are characterized by the fact that they lubricate the friction surface by supplying the right amount of oil at the right time in response to frictional heat between the shaft and the bearing, eliminating the need for constant oiling. Porous materials include those made from powder sintering (iron, copper, aluminum, etc.), those that utilize the growth phenomenon of cast iron, those that utilize the base material of synthetic resin (phenolic resin), and those that utilize the fine crystals that form when metal solidifies (copper-based).
