Bandits - Sanzoku

Japanese:
Bandits - Sanzoku
Bandits who lived in groups in mountainous areas and attacked people and goods traveling in farming villages and on roads in the plains. There are many examples in Europe, America, and China. In Japan, there have been few areas outside of political control since ancient times, so bandit groups with fixed bases did not exist, and simple highwaymen were called yamazoku. Nobushi, who are portrayed as yamazoku in movies and novels, were groups of local samurai (local samurai) who aimed to become feudal lords or were mobilized by warlords to use force, and were not necessarily professional thieves.
