Japanese: 美和[町] - みわ

A former town in Kuga County, eastern Yamaguchi Prefecture. It occupies the southern part of the Kanmuriyama Mountains, in the basin of the Ikimi River and Oze River, tributaries of the Nishiki River. Settlements are scattered throughout the river valleys. This rural village is known for its Iwane chestnuts. The Yasaka Dam is located midstream of the Oze River. In March 2006, it was incorporated into Iwakuni City along with the towns of Yu, Kuga, Shuto, Nishiki, Mikawa, and Hongo in Kuga County. Area: 127.53 ^km2 . Population: 5,216 (2003).

A former town in Ama County, western Aichi Prefecture. Located in the center of the Nobi Plain, it is connected by the Oe Irrigation Canal and is a thriving flower and vegetable growing region. There are also metal and machinery factories. The main settlement is Kida, and it is connected by the Meitetsu Tsushima Line, and is rapidly urbanizing. In March 2010, it merged with Shippo Town and Jimokuji Town in Ama County to become a city, Ama City. 9.92 ^km2 . Population 23,875 (2005).

山口県東部，玖珂(くが)郡の旧町。冠山山地の南部，錦川の支流生見(いきみ)川と小瀬川の流域を占める。集落は河谷に散在する。農山村で岩根(がんね)クリを特産。小瀬川中流に弥栄(やさか)ダムがある。2006年３月玖珂郡由宇町，玖珂町，周東町，錦町，美川町，本郷村と岩国市へ編入。127.53km²。5216人（2003）。

愛知県西部，海部(あま)郡の旧町。濃尾平野の中部にあり，大江用水が通じ，花卉(かき)・野菜栽培が盛ん。金属，機械などの工場も立地している。主集落は木田で，名鉄津島線が通じ，都市化も著しい。2010年３月海部郡七宝町，甚目寺町と合併して市制施行，あま市となる。9.92km²。２万3875人（2005）。
