Mizusawa [city] - Mizusawa

It is home to the ruins of Isawa Castle (historic site), Kokuishi-ji Temple, Shoho-ji Temple, Takano Choei's former home (historic site), and Mizusawa Latitude Observatory (now the Mizusawa Observatory of the National Astronomical Observatory). The city is famous for the Somin Festival at Kokuishi-ji Temple in February and the fire-breaking festival at Hidaka Shrine in April.
