National Association for the Advancement of Colored People . An organization that works to eliminate racial prejudice and discrimination and to improve the social and economic status of non-whites. It has about 400,000 members of all races and religions who agree with the organization's goals. Founded in 1934. Headquarters are in Baltimore.
