A town in Kida County in central Kagawa Prefecture. The southern part is on the northern slope of the Sanuki Mountains, the central part is lowland, and the northern part is hilly. The town produces rice, wheat, and strawberries, and is a major dairy cow farming area. In recent years, it has become a commuter town for Takamatsu City, and has been developed into a residential and commercial area.
