Danjiang - Danjiang

Japanese: 丹江 - たんこう

The longest tributary of the Han River, which flows through the border area of the three provinces of Henan, Hubei, and Shaanxi in China. It originates in the Jialing Mountains northwest of Shang County, Shaanxi Province, flows southeast into Henan Province, joins the Qi River southeast of Jingziguan, joins the Xi River near Xichuan County, and joins the Han River at Jun County (Danjiang), Hubei Province. It is 390 km long. It is navigable from Jun County to Jingziguan all year round, but during the flood season it is possible to go upstream to Danfeng County, Shaanxi Province. In 1973, the Danjiangkou Water Conservancy Center was built downstream to regulate the water volume of the Han River and eliminate the risk of flooding downstream.

中国，河南･湖北･陝西3省の辺境一帯を流れる漢水最長の支流。陝西省商県の北西の家嶺山に源を発し，南東に流れ河南省に入り，荆紫関の南東で淇河，淅川（せきせん）県付近で淅水を合わせ，湖北省均県(丹江)に至って漢水に合流する。全長390km。均県より荆紫関まで1年を通して航行できるが，増水期には陝西省丹鳳県まで遡航できる。1973年，下流に丹江口水利センターが建設され，漢水の水量を調節して下流部の洪水の危険を除いた。
